A man died after his car collided with a train in Lamar County on Thursday morning, according to a report from the Georgia State Patrol (GSP). GSP said Victavius Davis, 35, was driving east in a tractor-trailer when he approached the train tracks on Highway 41 in Lamar County around 9:15 a.m. on Thursday. Between July 12 and July 15, 2026 the Upson County Sheriff’s Office received 4 complaints of vehicles being broken into with items stolen. These incidents occurred during the overnight hours in the eastern part of Upson County on Rocky Bottom Road, Rose Creek Road and Mud Bridge Road.
