Andrew Cole Jackson, age 21, of Griffin, Georgia passed away September 5, 2025.

Cole grew up in Griffin and went on to graduate from high school before earning his Associate’s Degree in Business from Gordon State College. After college, he began his career with Farmers Insurance as a property claims adjuster, where he had just celebrated his one-year anniversary.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Angela Matthews; great grandmother, Florence Jackson; great grandfather, Kenneth Suttles; and great grandmother Mini Ruth Butler

Cole is survived by his parents, Brook and Sandy Jackson; brother, Dylan Jackson; grandparents, Joey and Terri Butler and Craig Jackson; uncle, Kevin Butler; aunt, Amanda Matthews; as well as many other close family members and friends.

Cole’s life was a testament to his steadfast love for his family, friends, and his drive to make the most out of life. His spirit shined brightly through music; he first began playing guitar at eleven years old. Since then, Cole would play and sing songs with a multitude of his friends and their bands all over.

Cole traveled the country in his car that many of his friends knew as “The Merc”, a champagne colored 2002 Mercury. He made plans to travel the United States as soon as he graduated from high school and from there he visited Arizona deserts, saw The Teton Range of Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Joshua's Tree, Carlsbad Caverns, and most recently camped at Big Bend National Park on the Rio Grande. Cole spent many nights camping in his tent, sleeping in “The Merc”, or staying with friends along his journey.

Outside of traveling, he loved to go fishing, listen to music, practice Jiu Jitsu, and spend time with his family and friends; these interests often sparked guitar playing sessions and impromptu Jiu Jitsu lessons. Cole was quick witted and funny, with a smile that would light up any room. He was unapologetically selfless, goofy, and kind-hearted. He will be missed dearly by many.

A Celebration of Cole’s Life will be held on Sunday, September 14, at the Historic City Hall of Downtown Griffin, beginning at 2pm. There will be live music played by Cole’s friends in his honor and the opportunity to share personal memories of Cole.
