Anthony “Tony” Byne Gibson, Sr

Mr. Anthony “Tony” Byne Gibson, Sr., age 70, of The Rock, passed away October 4, 2024, at his residence.

Tony was born on August 11, 1954, in Millen, GA, son of the late Millard Byne Gibson, and the late Effie Mae Shuman Gibson. He spent most his life in the Griffin area. He enjoyed guns, camping, and the outdoors. Tony was known for his sense of humor and being a jokester. He spent several years in the Georgia National Guard. He retired from 1888 Mills after nearly 40 years. Most of all, Tony loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Byne Gibson, Jr.; sisters, Carol Harrell, Sandra Gibson, and Betsy Mack.

Survivors include his wife: Donna Williams Gibson; sons and daughter-in-law: Randy Long of Griffin, Terry Williams, Jr. (Crystal) of The Rock; daughters and sons-in-law: Debra Roberts (Blake) of Concord, Sara Grace Turner (Chris) of Molena; brother and sister-in-law: Ricky Gibson (Angie) of Aiken, SC; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
