Mrs. Beverley Anne Ford, age 77, of Zebulon, passed away on Sunday, September 14th, 2025. Beverley was born in Athens, GA, the daughter of Ida Pauline Coffee and Hilmon Lee Dooley, and sister to David Lee Dooley.
Beverley grew up during a time when opportunities for education were limited, and though she did not complete the eighth grade, she possessed an extraordinary intelligence, wisdom, and drive that carried her through life. Through hard work, determination, and a desire to serve others she built a career in customer service, working her way into management roles with K-Mart and Walmart. She was deeply respected for her leadership, dedication, and the care she showed to both customers and colleagues. Her creativity and desire to learn was apparent in her interests which ranged from taking art classes at the local college, serving as a volunteer firefighter, becoming certified in arson identification, as well as reading and writing.
Beverley was one of the most genuine people you could meet. Known for her warmth and kind-hearted spirit, she had a gift for making people feel seen and celebrated. She never missed a chance to honor someone else. She decorated for each holiday with intention and viewed them as a way to gather family from all over to celebrate together and spread love and joy.
She enjoyed cooking meals and treats that brought people together. She cherished the written word through her love of reading, writing, and journaling. She found peace in the outdoors through tending her garden, nurturing her plants, hiking or traveling with her husband, or watching the wildlife. Animals and nature held a special place in her heart, as did her beloved pets, who she cared for so deeply. But above all, her greatest devotion was to her family, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally.
She will be remembered not only for her accomplishments, but for the way she lived—with intention, generosity, and love. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband: John Ford; children: Beverly Zammett and Terrell Brooks (Kelley Greathouse); grandchildren: Brittany, Reid, Makayla, Gapp, Landry, Lawson, and Lane; great-grandchildren: Owen, Maddox, Isabella, Madelyn, Austin, Delilah, Aria, and Salem; brother: David Lee Dooley.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, September 19th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20th, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Thomaston, GA. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens in Zebulon. Beverly will taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service to lie-in-state.
