Bobby Ray McDaniel

Mr. Bobby Ray McDaniel, age 69, of Meansville, passed away February 5, 2025, at home.  He grew up in Pike County and graduated from high school in 1974. He worked at William Carter Company in Barnesville for several years and then became a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and worked for Upson County. He took a job at Hancock Fabrics in Morrow where he worked for many years. Later in life, Bobby was a host at Waffle House in Griffin. He was very outgoing, never met a stranger and loved talking to customers. When needed, Bobby would also cook and wait tables there.  He enjoyed collecting antiques and sewing.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, L. E. “Dick” McDaniel, brother, Dennis McDaniel, grandmother, Claudie Bell Daniel and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton McDaniel.

 

He is survived by his mother:  Elizabeth McDaniel of Meansville; sister: Lynn Narron (Todd) of Griffin; sister-in-law: Janet McDaniel of Meansville; nephews: Chad McDaniel (Ashley) and Chase Narron; great-nephews: Townes and Roger McDaniel; aunt: Alice Daniel; his beloved dog BoBo; and many cousins and friends.

 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., in Lamar Memory Gardens in Barnesville.  Pastor John Price will officiate.

 

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.
