Mr. Charles “Chuck” Kale Dorris, age 50, of Thomaston, passed away January 17, 2026. Chuck grew up in Thomaston where he enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was currently an autobody repairman for Cahaba Collision in Griffin, where he had been working for several years.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Dan Pescopous.
He is survived by his twin daughters: Shayla Dorris and Shana Dorris; mother: Pauline Hartness; sisters: Lynn Bridge and Keysa Baxley (Brad); brother: Frank “Bill” Jones; nephew and nieces: Mark Bridge, Jessika Johnson, Cara Cook, Krysha Roberts; great-nephews: Bentley Jones and Kane Bestill; former wife: Tandy Dorris; and many friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
