Christine Harris Taunton

Mrs. Christine Harris Taunton, age 91 of Thomaston, died Sunday June 21, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Taunton was born on January 15, 1935, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Albert Charles Harris and the late Gladys Rosalee Nicholson Harris.  She worked as a textile worker in the Martha Mills and was a member of the First Assembly of God.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Taunton Chapman of Bonaire, Georgia, Cathy Taunton McCard of Thomaston, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
