Christopher “Chris” Brooks Wadford

Mr. Christopher “Chris” Brooks Wadford, age 46, of Zebulon, passed away on July 1, 2026.

Chris grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. He had a wonderful sense of humor, never met a stranger, and had a gift for making others laugh. He was an avid Gamecocks fan who never turned down a pizza, good or bad. Above all, Chris loved his family dearly and was immensely proud of his children.

No matter the circumstances he faced, Chris remained steadfast in his faith in Jesus Christ. He found comfort in attending church and trusted in the Lord throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Frances Courtney Marsh.

He is survived by his children, Michelle Virginia Wadford and James Christian Bridges; his parents, Wendy and Eddie Adams; his sister and brother, Stephanie Bingham (Ryan) and Zane Adams (Jennifer); maternal grandmother, Diane Wadford; paternal grandmother, Jo Anne Parnell; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.

A service to celebrate Chris' life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Meansville Baptist Church, 12620 GA-109, Meansville. Pastor Michael Bell and Shaun Lamb will be officiating. Friends may visit the family from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. at the church.
