Deborah “Debbie” Jean Priest Presley

Mrs. Deborah “Debbie” Jean Priest Presley, age 74, of Thomaston, passed away December 19, 2025.  Debbie grew up in Griffin. She was an excellent musician and could play the piano by ear.  She wrote and performed many gospel songs and was the pianist for over 10 different churches during her lifetime. Most recently, she attended Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene in Meansville. Debbie loved her cats, and she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Phillip. She had an wonderful singing voice, was kind to everyone and never met a stranger. Most importantly, Debbie loved God with all her heart.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Singleton, her father, Bobby Priest, sister, Linda and son-in-law, Tim Brown.

She is survived by her husband: Phillip Presley; children: Crystal "Shannon" Brown and Christie Ward; grandchildren: Haley Coleman, Christian Blevins, Nathan Brown, Rebecca Brown, Nichole Singleton, Lucas Spires, Shayla Spires, Sephyia Spires; mother: Lucy Lavender; brother: Billy Thaxton; sister-in-law: Donna Presley; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A private family celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
