Dewey Daymond Scott, Jr

Mr. Dewey Daymond Scott, Jr., age 76, of Molena, passed away June 26, 2025, at his home. Daymond enjoyed painting and restoring old cars, woodworking, hunting, fishing and fixing things.  He was skilled with the bow and arrow and won professional championships in archery.  Billy always took wonderful care of Daymond. Whenever he was sick, he would call out “Where’s my wife”. Daymond was an amazing husband and father. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Daymond Scott, Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Headden Scott.

He is survived by his wife who he affectionately called “Babe”: Billy Jane Scott; sons: Rodney Scott, Joseph Hall and Ronald Hall (Dawn); daughters: Shelly Scott and Tina Corley (Jason); grandchildren Chad Scott (Elise), Tim Hall (Savannah), Steven Roberson (Cara), and Daniel Martinez (Lena); brother: Danny Scott; sister: Carol Terrell; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Daymond’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Hugh Smith officiating.  

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
