Donald Lee Collins

Mr. Donald Lee Collins, age 88 of Thomaston, died, Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his residence.  

Mr. Collins was born on April 26, 1937, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Clayton Olif Collins and the late Annie Kate Forehand Collins.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  He worked in HVAC and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Thomaston.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Nixon, brothers, Wayne Collins, and Tommy Collins.

Survivors include his wife Scarlett Phillips Collins, daughter, Brenda (Warren) Ragsdale, sister Geraldine Taunton, grandchildren, Melissa (Javier) Herrera, Jonathan (Jessica) Nixon, Allan (Julie) Ragsdale, Brent (Kristin) Ragsdale, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
