Donald Stephen “Steve” Cato

Mr. Donald Stephen “Steve” Cato, age 76, of Molena, passed away August 21, 2025. Steve grew up in East Point, son of the late Waymond Robert Cato and Lucille Sosby Cato Hendricks. Over the years, he had several jobs, including many years as a diesel mechanic with Bobcat of Atlanta, with the City of Griffin, Lambert Ford, and later retiring from Waste Management in Thomaston. Steve loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cold beer.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dale Eppinger Cato and his brother, Bob Cato. 

He is survived by his children: Don Cato (Kim), Jeremy Cato and Joelle Story (Jacob); grandchildren: Gage, Skyler, Hayden, Braylynn and Ryver; and his dog Ziggy.

It was Steve’s wish to be cremated, and no services are planned.
