Dr. Banlu Potitong

Dr. Banlu Potitong, age 89, passed away Sunday morning, December 1st, at Brightmoor Hospice in Conyers, Georgia.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

 

Dr. Potitong had a long career of 31 years practicing internal medicine in Thomaston. He first came here in 1973 and was instrumental in getting the new ICU up and running at Upson Regional Medical Center.

 

He also had a busy private practice, first in the Thurston Community, and then on West Main Street. He retired in 2004. He is survived by two daughters, Jupe and Nullie, and one granddaughter, Kate.
