Early voting is underway for district 18's state Senate seat January 20th of 2026

A special elections been set for January 20th to fill the 18th district state Senate seat of John Kennedy who resigned to focus on his run for Lieutenant governor among candidates are ex Forsyth Mayor Eric Wilson Macon  attorney Stephen McNeil former Senator Lauren Daniel and Eugene Allison from Thomaston, the election dates for Upson county January 20th special election December 29^th,  8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturdays 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM January 3rd through January 10th at the Civic Center closed on Wednesday, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day Thursday January 9th is the last day to return absentee applications and January 16th the last day of early voting, January 20th is Election Day
