Edna Grace Steger Ridley

Mrs. Edna Grace Steger Ridley, age 95, of Griffin, formerly of Zebulon, passed away February 2, 2025, at Westbury Care Home in Jackson.  Mrs. Ridley was born in Zebulon, daughter of the late King David Steger and Emmie Oglesby Steger.  She worked at Dundee Mills Bleachery in Griffin for over 30 years.  She was a long-time member of Zebulon First Baptist Church and after moving to Griffin, she became a member of the Second Baptist Church.  Mrs. Ridley was a kind and gracious lady. She enjoyed walking and watching TV.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jamie O. Ridley, her daughter, Susan McFarlane, and her grandson, Ryan Thaxton.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Diane and Ronald Hollingsworth of Griffin, grandson: Jonathan Craig Thaxton; and brother, Curtis Steger of Milner.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., at the funeral home.  

A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m., in the Nazareth Cemetery, 487 East Milner Road, Zebulon.
