Elbert Leon “Bill” Stiles


Mr. Elbert Leon “Bill” Stiles, age 80, of Zebulon, passed away January 11, 2026, at his home. Bill grew up in LaFayette, Georgia, the son of the late Charles Stiles and Mae Sprayberry Stiles.

For 42 years, Bill owned and operated Stiles Body Shop in Riverdale, where he was known for being honest, straight forward, hardworking and dedicated. He was musically talented and enjoyed playing the guitar, piano, and organ. Bill would often be found picking music with friends at many places including the Hollonville Opry House, Williamson Music Barn, and the back room at Ruth’s Restaurant in Zebulon.

Bill enjoyed puttering in the garage, riding his tractor, fishing and camping.

During his illness, Bill received many phone calls and visits from family and friends, and he was deeply touched by the outpouring of love and kindness shown to him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Stiles, his son, Terry Stiles and many brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife: Annette Stiles; children: Daryl Stiles (Cari), Jerry Stiles (Lynn) and Kimberly Creel (Hal); grandchildren: Jamie Moore (Travis Rowland), Corey Moore (Sam), Luke Stiles, Lance Creel, Jake Stiles and Nickelos Stiles; great-grandchildren: Ty, Lane, Ryan and Addaline; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home and burial will be held in Moody Memorial Gardens.
