George Ray Moore

Mr. George Ray Moore, age 82, of Thomaston, died Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Providence Health and Rehab.

Mr. Moore was born on January 15, 1942, in Taylor County, Georgia, to the late George Dewey Moore and the late Carrie Eunice Moncrief Moore.  He worked as a supervisor at the Thomaston Mills for 40 plus years and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Fred and Jack Moore, and grandchild, Curtis Salter.

Survivors include his daughter, Chantel Moore Carter of Griffin, grandchildren, Catherine Carter, and Bennett Carter, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. from Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
