The Thomaston-Upson Board of Education has made the decision to delay HB 581

In an E-mail to 101 News Karen Truesdale, Director of School & Community Relations and Fine Arts stated:


The Thomaston-Upson Board of Education has made the decision to delay the vote on HB 581. This delay will allow the board to monitor recent legislative activity involving potential changes to this bill. Members of the school board prioritize gathering all necessary information and perspectives to ensure their choices are well-considered and will ultimately benefit the students, faculty and staff, and the Thomaston-Upson community.
