James Donald “Don” Davis

Mr. James Donald “Don” Davis, age 82, of Stonewall, GA, passed away on June 8, 2026.

Don grew up in Stonewall and was the son of the late Harold Davis and Gladys West Davis. Later in life, he moved to Pike County where he helped raise his daughter and spent the remainder of his years.  He worked in the crew scheduling department at Eastern Airlines for 25 years before retiring.  In his younger years, Don enjoyed hunting, playing softball and coaching at the local recreational facility.  Later in life, he loved playing golf, fishing and being with his family. He was an avid Braves and Bulldogs fan.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Davis.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Doni and Lanny Arrington. He was a devoted "Grandpa" to his two grandchildren, Garrett Arrington and Abigail Arrington, whom he adored. 

He is also survived by his former wife, Linda Chapin; his brother and best friend, Bobby Davis; his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jack Bagwell; and several nieces and nephews, including Billy Davis, Steve Davis, Robin Deloach, Keri Bilotti, and Danna Wright.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
