James Douglas McKinley

Mr. James Douglas McKinley age 81 of Griffin Ga, died Wednesday August 27, 2025 at Pruitt Healthcare in Griffin Ga.

Mr. McKinley was born on May 12, 1944 in Mobile Al, to the late James Harvey McKinley and the late Lillie McKinley. He worked in the textile industry for many years until his retirement. Mr. McKinley was a member of Thomaston Church of God. He enjoyed country music and he and his wife Judy enjoyed playing occasionaly at the music house. Mr. McKinley had many friends and neighbors in Griffin he enjoyed talking to. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Judy Glanton McKinley, siblings Catherine Kirkland, Helen Bynum.

Survivors include his daughters Deloris Wilson, Mary Reddoch, Cathy Green, Amber Rae, son Thomas "Tommy" McKinley, brother Harvey McKinley, several grandchildren also survive.

The family will hold a graveside memorial service on Thursday September 4, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. from Southview Cemetery.
