Jane Winkles Johnson

mlb19538

Jane Winkles Johnson was a mother of three, grandmother to six, friend of many, and a dedicated Witness of Jehovah for over 63 years. She died in the early morning hours of January 27th, 2025, at age 77. Jane was born to Lonnie Frank Winkles and Alma Pearl Hale Winkles on January 31, 1947, in Gadsden, Alabama, and had an older brother, Douglas Pitts.

Jane loved to laugh, smile, be with her friends at parties and gatherings, and tell others about the hope she held so dear, particularly by telephone. She lived a simple life, but was always generous with her time and love. Jane will be well-remembered for her sweet voice and quick wit, but most of all her loyalty and endurance.

Jane is survived by two sons, Joseph and Michael Johnson; daughter-in-law, Teri Pannell; niece, Sandra Wilkie; nephew, Robert Pitts; grandchildren Meagan (Steven) Deerman, Allison (Geoffrey) Teague, Lee (Nikki) Ray, Jesse (Bridget) Johnson, Samantha Williams, Julia Fortner; 12 beautiful great-grandchildren; dear friends Patty Gibson, Bonita Jolley, and Ginger Rosenauer; and a global brotherhood of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 2940 North Expressway Griffin GA 30223.
