Janice Fowler Rainey

Mrs. Janice Fowler Rainey, 83, of Milner, passed at home on May 6, 2026. Janice was born in Griffin, Georgia to Frances and Robert Z. Fowler. She spent her childhood growing up around Barnesville in the Aldora Village. Janice was a graduate of Milner High School class of 1960.

Her professional career began in 1974 as a bookkeeper at Lamar County High School. She retired after 26 years of dedicated service. In 1986, she was awarded her license as a Real Estate sales professional and was entering her 40th year of service. Her servant heart and helping others grew from her Christian faith. This became more evident when she adopted her first child through the ministry of “Little Children of the World.” Mommie Janice as she was known by her Filipino children, has left her faith and her dedication to service as a reminder to all. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Eddie; her children: Robyn and Valdon; her grandkids: Kyle, Katlyn, and Kaleb; her brother: Bobby Fowler; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Summers Field in Barnesville, Georgia, on May 30th, at 3:30 p.m.

Charitable donations may be made in her honor to Little Children of the World
