Jarrod Paul Christopher Mauldin

Jarrod Paul Christopher Mauldin, age 8, of Forsyth, passed away at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Arthur M. Blank Hospital after battling cancer.  Jarrod was a 2nd grader at K.B. Sutton Elementary School in Forsyth.  He loved gaming and playing Call of Duty Zombies with his mom, Minecraft, and Fortnite with his siblings and cousins. Jarrod was named after his Great Uncle, Jarrod Paul Scott.

He is preceded in death by his sister: Heaven Abigail Mauldin; great grandparents: Sandra Lynnette Dozier, Reford James Atkins; cousin: Cassidy Alexis Gardner; great uncle: Jarrod Paul Scott; great aunt: Judy Owens.

Jarrod is survived by his Mother: Katherine “Kat” Speir; Fathers: Thomas Speir and James Mauldin; Twin Brother: Layne Mauldin; Brothers and Sisters: Elizabeth Mauldin, Wyatt Mauldin, John-Henry Mauldin, Scarlett Mauldin, Safira Mauldin and Emma Speir; Grandparents: Jami Mauldin, Jaime Beth Scott, Robert Scott, Jr., David Wilkerson, Jerry Davenport, Tomas Llibre‑Cabrera and Cassandra Dozier; Great‑Grandparents: Wilma Gail Atkins, Susan Butler, and Marion Leroy Dozier; Aunts and Uncles: Nate Scott, Jason Scott, Elizabeth Scott, Paulina “Aunt Lina” Siffles and David Siffles, Dixie Pressley and Jacob Pressley, April Carter and BeBe Pressley, Joseph Thompson, Sharon Hood, Christopher Robinson, Bethany Carpenter, Travis Nix, Colton Wyatt, and Lucas Wyatt; Great‑Uncles: M. Visitation with friends and family will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

A celebration of life and Minecraft/Gaming themed birthday party (For Jarrod and Layne) will be held from 1-4 pm on Sunday August 31, 2025 at Fishers Chapel Church (7335 Dry Creek Road Summerville Georgia).
