Jeffrey “Jeff” Leon Kempson

Mr. Jeffrey “Jeff” Leon Kempson, age 65, of Concord, passed away on July 15, 2026.

Jeff grew up in Pike County and was the son of the late Ronnie Aaron Kempson and Brenda Joyce Hall Kempson. He graduated from Pike County High School.

Jeff had a life-long fascination with anything that had wheels. He loved cars—old and new, fast and slow—as well as go-karts and Legend cars. He enjoyed tinkering on engines and spent many years racing late model cars at Senoia Raceway.

More than anything, Jeff was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Lucretia, father and grandfather.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Kempson Schact, and sister, Sherry Kempson Barksdale.

He is survived by his wife: Lucretia Simon Kempson; son: Tobin Kempson (Caterin Buenahora), Jenifer Kempson Culberson (Jay); grandchildren: Landon Kempson, Grason Kempson, Benjamin Schact; sister: Amy Wetherup (Bill); several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with his nephew, Pastor Brian Simon officiating.
