Jennifer Bennett Jones

Ms. Jennifer Bennett Jones, age 54, of Zebulon passed away February 4, 2026, at her home.

Jennifer was a 1989 graduate of Pike County High School. She graduated from Gordon College and Griffin Technical College where she went on to work as an x-ray tech for many years at Spalding Regional Hospital, before her most important role as Mom became her career. She devoted her life to the care of her daughter, which was her passion. She was also a member of Concord Baptist Church.

Jennifer was always seen with a smile on her face and a song to sing loudly. Her family was her everything, the very first thing that anyone heard about when they saw her. Her heart for others shined brightly, and she loved her people with “every fiber of her being” as she would always remind them.

Jennifer was lovingly referred to as “Jojo” by her grandchildren, Clara Shaw and Chap Jones and Kohan and Emersyn Lee Creech. She poured her love into each of them individually in their own special ways, from softball games and golfcart rides to the most perfect Godzilla roar one had ever heard.

Jennifer is survived by her mother and best friend, Charlotte Bennett, her son, Devin Jones (Katherine), who she loved immensely. Truly her pride and joy, who she never stopped reminding of what a devoted and loving father, son, and brother he grew up to be. They enjoyed music, long talks about life, and belly laughing together.

Her fiancé, and love of her life, Blue Flournoy, was her adventure partner. The two loved to take spontaneous trips together and never missed a chance to cook up a homemade meal and enjoy time with one another.

She is also survived by her stepchildren, Shyla Flournoy (Anthony) and Rylan Flournoy, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kay and Hal Sawyer, father of her children, Shane Jones, many aunts, uncles, cousins, sister-in-law and special close friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastors Jeff Yearwood and Tom Eckman officiating. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
