Jimmy Dan Engle

Mr. Jimmy Dan Engle, age 89, of Thomaston, passed away August 25, 2025.

Jimmy was born on August 6, 1936, in Upson County, son of the late Dan Engle, and the late Blanche Harp Engle. He was a farmer most all his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Glenda Kilby Engle; brother, Billy Engle; sisters, Doris Shumate and Ruth Ann Gassett.

Survivors include his brother, Tommy Engle, and his devoted caregiver, Jenny Chapman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery in Thomaston.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 10-11 AM, at the funeral home.
