John Coode Randolph, Jr


Mr. John Coode Randolph, Jr., age 90, of Williamson, passed away April 8, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, son of the late John Coode Randolph, Sr. and the late Margaret Davidson Randolph.  When John was young, he and his family moved to Alabama where he graduated from Shades Valley High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and honorably served for 3 years. John married Patricia “Pat” Funderburk in July, 1958.  He took a job with Delta Airlines in the material services department and retired after 32 years.  

He and his wife, Pat, lived in Clayton County for 45 years before making their home in Williamson. He was an active member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Forest Park. John was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, farming and gardening. He was also an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves. John and Pat spent their time away from home traveling the country as well as many cruises across the globe. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ruth Miller.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years: Pat Randolph; children: John David “Randy” Randolph (Donna), Helen Louise Randolph Carter (Kimble) and Jeffrey Thomas Randolph (Erin); grandchildren: Ansley Carter, Andrew Carter (Peyton), and Jackson Randolph; sister: Margaret Randolph; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2 p.m., in Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 351 Morrow Road, Forest Park, Georgia, with Rev. Jeanne Simpson and Rev. Jack Westlund officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Philadelphia Presbyterian Church or a charity of one’s choice.
