John Eric Beckman

Mr. John Eric Beckman, age 78, of Zebulon, passed away on October 5, 2026, at his home.

John was born in Sweden, the son of the late Hans and Brita Beckman. He spent his early years in Sweden before moving to Australia. Shortly after completing university, John met the love of his life, Jane, in Australia, and the two married soon after. Together, they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love and adventure as they lived in Australia, Europe, and Africa before eventually settling in the United States.

While John pursued a variety of careers throughout his life, his greatest passion was always his family. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and delighted in sharing stories of their adventures and cherished memories together. A true gentleman, John always had a kind word to offer and was happiest encouraging others to pursue whatever brought them joy.

John is survived by his loving wife, Jane, and son, Paul. A devoted husband, father, and friend, he leaves behind a lifetime of wonderful memories and a legacy of love and kindness. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.

A service celebrating John's life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
