Johnnie Hollis Clark


Mr. Johnnie Hollis Clark, age 81, of Barnesville, passed away on November 26, 2025. Hollis was one of six children born to the late Johnny W. Clark and the late Lucille Tidwell Clark. He lived for many years in Meansville, Forsyth, and Milner. Hollis proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Walke Destroyer. Following his military service, he worked for Eastern Airlines for 15 years before continuing his career with Georgia Pacific–Atlas Roofing in Hampton.

Known for his kindness and willingness to help others, Hollis was a caring man who touched many lives. He was deeply devoted to his family and loved the time spent with them.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Claude Allen Clark, nephew, Jason Clark, brothers-in-law, William Scott and Calvin Perkins.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Cheryl Clark; children: Missy Clark Wallace and Brandy Shone Clark; grandchildren: Holly Brown (Tony), Lee Jefferies, Abby Hernandez (Matt Long), Raygan Clark (Joe Strickland), Chase Clark, and Zoe Weaver; great-grandchildren: Madison Presley (Dalton Butler), Megan Wilson, Cameron Wilson (Tony Altman), Laney Higgins, Clark Moxon, Verity Long, Zoe Long and Jasmine Long; great-great-grandchildren: Elias, Iris and Laylhonie; brother and sisters: Jackie Clark, Charlotte Eskew (Wayne), Sadie Scott and Helen Perkins; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

It was Hollis’ wish to be cremated, and no services are planned.
