Joyce Claire Sprayberry, better known as Nana or Juicy Joyce, left this world after only gracing us with 92 years of her presence on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
For those that don’t know, Joyce was born in Griffin, Georgia the day that Prohibition ended in the United States, on December 5, 1933. She married the love of her life and fishing partner, Jerry Lee Sprayberry, in 1955 who has awaited her presence since 2005 along with her parents, Harry and Annie Stephens Donehoo who preceded her in death. She was both a hardworking and ambitious woman who grew from a Seamstress to a Senior Engineer before retiring from William Carter Company in 2004. Following retirement, she worked at the Women’s Center in Pike County in her spare time, but she found the most joy in spending time with and caring for her great-grandchildren.
Her love extended far beyond family and thus she leaves behind many who cherished her time here, including her children, Donna Sprayberry, Bryan Sprayberry (Sherrie), Scott Sprayberry (Anita); grandchildren, Dustin Sprayberry (Shaina), Amanda (her favorite) Sprayberry-Creswell (Josh), Tasha Creamer (Ricky), Jennifer Vollmer (Chris), Ashley Thomas; great grandchildren, Atticus, Josephine, Landon, Boone, Cade; sister-in-law, Mickey Langford and family; several nieces, nephews, and beloved friends who are too numerous to name.
Visitation will be Monday, February 9, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel.
Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, located at 1891 W. McIntosh Road, is in charge of the arrangements.
