Joyce Elaine Dukes Bunn

Ms. Joyce Elaine Dukes Bunn, age 87, of Griffin, passed away June 27, 2025, at her home. Joyce was born in Molena, daughter of the late Benjamin Taylor Dukes and Ruth Lorena Kelley Dukes. She worked at William Carter Company in both Barnesville and Griffin for many years before retiring. Joyce was a Godly lady, and a faithful member of Carver Road Baptist Church in Griffin, where she tirelessly worked in the food pantry, children’s nursery and anywhere else she was needed. Joyce was a prayer-warrior who spent her time working toward one goal which was to enter Heaven’s gates and meet her Lord and Savior.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roy Bunn and all of her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Theresa “Terry” and Paul Holcomb; granddaughter and her husband: Brandy and Antwain Caldwell; great-grandson: Ayden Caldwell; daughter-in-law:  Rebecca Bunn and her daughter: Brittany Mullins; many nieces and nephews. 

It was Joyce’s wish to be cremated and at her request, no formal services will be held.
