Judith "Lynn" Maddox

Mrs. Judith "Lynn" Maddox, age 74 of Yatesville, died Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Brightmoor Hospice.  

Mrs. Maddox was born on November 10, 1951, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late William Alvin Mathews and the late Mary Nell Fowler Mathews.  She worked at the William Carter Company for 34 years and was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Maddox Sr., brother Larry Mathews, sisters, Ruth Hope, Helen Nasworthy, Joan Mathews, and Mary Ann Musser.

Survivors include her son Jim (Sherry) Maddox of Yatesville, sister, Cathy Allison of Buford grandchildren, Lauren (John) Gahagan, Daniel (Saylor) Warford, great-grandchildren, Emily, Kael, Ella, Danny, sister-in-law, Melynda Mathews, brother-in-law Ron Hope, and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
