Julius Edward “Ed” Howell III

Mr. Julius Edward “Ed” Howell III, age 66, of Gay, GA, passed away November 10, 2024. He grew up in Forest Park, son of the late Julius Edward Howell, Jr. and Carolyn Reynolds Howell. Ed graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1976. He was a member of IBEW Local No. 613 and a foreman for Inglett and Stubbs Electrical Contractors in Atlanta for 31 years before retiring in June 2021. Ed enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, traveling, trips to the beach and collecting vintage automobiles. He was a very kind and generous man who loved his family and spending time at his home in the country. 

He is survived by his wife: Linda L. Howell; daughter: Jennifer King, granddaughter: Sadie Eason; sister and brother-in-law: Lynn and Greg Burrell; nieces and nephews: Elizabeth, John, Joseph, Hannah and Grace Burrell; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 2 p.m., in Andrew Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Swansea, SC.
