Kathryn Ross Rogers, age 97, of Fayetteville, formerly of Thomaston, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026. Mrs. Rogers was born on March 2, 1929, in Meansville, Georgia, to the late Leavy Ross and Fannie Maude Nelson Ross. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Rogers; as well as her grandson, Matthew Howard.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter, Gail (Tommy) Gilbert; sons, David C. Rogers, Mark Rogers; sisters, Betsy Bankston, Patricia Dunn; as well as 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Kathryn was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church, attending there for many years before moving to Fayetteville. She was a seamstress by trade, and took great pride in her work and the garments she made. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Kathryn devoted her life to her faith and her family, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 12:00PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Chambers & Dr. Derrick Keeter officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
