Mrs. Kay Kitchens Bray, age 65, of Thomaston, died Thursday, October 9, 2025, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Bray will be held on Wednesday, October 15, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Ted Kandler will officiate, and interment will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, October 14, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.


Mrs. Bray was born in Thomaston on December 26, 1959, to the late Fred McKenzie Kitchens and the late Faye Lindsey Kitchens. She was a 1978 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and a 1985 graduate of Gordon College with a degree in nursing. As a registered nurse, she was employed by Macon Medical Center Neuro ICU nurse for five years, Upson Regional Medical Center, and as a case management nurse at Upson Regional Center, Spalding Regional Medical Center, West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, and Coliseum Hospital in Macon. She also worked in long-term health care facilities in the area before retiring from Riverside Nursing Care Center in 2019. Mrs. Bray was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Thomaston where she was active in handbell choir and the youth programs.


Mrs. Bray is survived by her husband, Lee Bray of Thomaston; two daughters: Lindsey (George) Adams and Taylor Bray, both of Thomaston; two sons: Franklin Campbell of Peachtree City and Adam (Lisa) Bray of St. Louis, MO; and seven grandchildren: Aubrey and Wyatt Adams, Max and Luke Bray, and Audrey, Olivia, and Franklin Campbell.
