Larry Donald “Bubba” Helms

Mr. Larry Donald “Bubba” Helms, age 58, of Molena, passed away October 6, 2024.  He grew up in Molena but considered the Flint River a second home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, searching for arrowheads and riding his tractor on the farm. Most of all he loved his two girls.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Donald and Linda Helms, mother, Patsy Pollard and step-brothers, Benny Pollard and Johnny Pollard.

He is survived by his daughters: Cody Helms (Josh Ward) and Ashley Helms (Dustin Jones); grandchildren: Lilly, Lance and Zoey; sister: Melanie Helms; two nieces and a nephew; brother: Barry Helms (Karen); and step-father, Benny Pollard.

A celebration of Bubba’s life will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Glen “Cujo” Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Stribling Family Cemetery in Molena.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.

The family requests that everyone wear camouflage to the service in honor of Bubba.
