Laura Bright Caldwell

Laura Bright Caldwell, age 55, of Concord, passed away on September 22, 2025. Laura grew up in Concord and graduated from Pike County High School, where she excelled in both academics and tennis. She was naturally athletic and an avid runner. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and also earned her Master’s Degree in Education. Laura taught nursing classes at Southern Crescent Technical College and was currently serving as the Overhouse Supervisor at Warm Springs Medical Center. She was the devoted caregiver for her family and had a deep love for animals. She was a life-long member of Concord Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert “Bob” Bright and her brother, Patrick Bright.

She is survived by her children: Marilee Caldwell and Will Caldwell (Layna); mother: Phyllis Bright; brother: Robbie Bright; sisters-in-law: Beverly Bonner (Bill) and Kim Hobbs (Greg); several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Laura’s life will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Griffin will officiate.
