Linda Carol Kendrick Johnson

Mrs. Linda Carol Kendrick Johnson, age 73, of Yatesville, passed away August 9, 2026. Carol grew up in Marietta, daughter of the late John Kendrick and the late Betty McFarlin Kendrick. She graduated from Osborne High School where she met her husband, Perry.

Carol worked for Lockheed-Martin in Marietta for almost 30 years before retiring. During that time, she also owned and operated a florist, A Floral Affair. She enjoyed arranging flowers and traveling. She was a long-time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Acworth where she dedicated many years to working with the youth group. After moving to Yatesville, she became a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Perry Reed Johnson, Sr.; children: Kelly Squires (Jason) and Perry Reed “P.J.” Johnson, Jr. (Stacy); grandchildren: Bryce Johnson, Chase Johnson and three Squires grandchildren; brother: John Andrew “Andy” Kendrick, Jr. (Debbie); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.

A second service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 12 p.m., in Hillcrest Baptist Church, 6069 Woodstock Road, Acworth. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the church.
