Lorraine Francis Weisenborn Joynson

Ms. Lorraine Francis Weisenborn Joynson, age 82, of Meansville, passed away October 9, 2026.

Lorraine was born in Melbourne, Australia, the daughter of the late Fredrick Weisenborn and the late Kathleen Menzie Weisenborn. When she was young, Lorraine’s father was in the Navy, so her family moved often.

Lorraine began her career working on an assembly line and at the end of her career she was the Administrator of Heritage Inn Nursing Home in Barnesville.

She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, working crossword puzzles, ceramics, word-find puzzles, and reading, but mostly, she loved being a Grandma. Lorraine was the caregiver of her family and took wonderful care of her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Weisenborn.

She is survived by her children: Larry Crom and Anna Moore (Uhel); grandchildren: Rayann, Lorna, Joshua, Angelique, Joseph and Sondra; 13 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren

A service celebrating Lorraine’s life will be held at a later date.
