FOR THE THIRD TIME IN ALMOST TWO YEARS THREE MEMBERS OF THE MANCHESTER HIGH FOOTBALL TEAM HAVE BEEN SHOT AND KILLED. THE LATEST HAPPENED SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER A GRADUATION PARTY IN COLUMBUS. TEAM QUARTERBACK DARYUS BRYANT, A JUNIOR, DIED OF A GUNSHOT WOUND WHILE LEAVING IN A CAR. ANOTHER VICTIM, CLARENCE FAVORS UNDERWENT SURGERY AND IS EXPECTED TO RECOVER. BRYANT HAD RECEIVED OFFERS FROM DIVISION ONE COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAMS.


JUST BEFORE MANCHESTER HIGH PLAYED FOR THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP, ANOTHER PLAYER, BRANDON SMITH, AGE 17 WAS SHOT AND KILLED. IN MAY OF 2022 ANOTHER MANCHESTER PLAYER, 18 YEAR OLD AKEAM ELLISON WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN THOMASTON AT A GRADUATION PARTY ON PARK LANE.
