Margaret Jones O’Barr

Mrs. Margaret Jones O’Barr, age 96, of Zebulon, passed away December 30, 2024, at her home.  Mrs. O’Barr lived most of her life in Zebulon and was a long-time member of Zebulon First Baptist Church. She was a magnificent cook and enjoyed flower gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy Jones and Mattie Williams Jones, husband, Joel Teasley O’Barr, brothers, Ed Jones, Leamon Jones and Billy Jones, and nieces, Andrea House and Gail Baggett.

She is survived by her son: Rick O’Barr (Misty); niece: Linda Parker; grandchildren: Mandy Brown (Joey), Tommy O’Barr (Shonda) and Moriah O’Barr (Al); great-grandchildren: Brendon (Cheyenne) and Triston (Savannah); great-great-grandchildren: Embree, Jaxton, Kali, William, Wesley, Dorothy and Jasmine; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 2 p.m., in Eastview Cemetery in Zebulon.  Pastor Matt Hinesley will officiate. Moody Daniel Funeral Home
