ree

Marvin Averett Anthony passed into the loving arms of his Savior on August 20, 2025. Born in Milner, Georgia, on September 25, 1961, Marvin was a man of extraordinary strength and unwavering love. He was preceded in death by his father; Oliver, his mother; Jackie, and his brother; Dwayne.

Marvin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He spent 40 wonderful years married to his loving wife, Penny Anthony. Together, they raised two sons who were his pride and joy: Kenneth Anthony and his fiancée Megan, and Casey Anthony and his wife Victoria. His legacy lives on through his four grandchildren. Nothing brought Marvin more happiness than his four grandchildren, whom he adored: Tristan Anthony, Trinity Anthony, Tucker Anthony, and Braylynn Anthony. He cherished every moment he spent with them, and their laughter filled his life.

He was also survived by his siblings; Cindy (Eddie), Mike (Renita), and Sandra, several nieces and nephews; Matthew Anthony, Jeremy Brown and his two children, Candice and Eric Johnson and their 3 kids, Tommy and Dineyli and their 3 children, Alesha and Rene Kelly and their 2 children, and his mother-in-law, Irma Wing. For 27 years, Marvin was a truck driver, a career that took him all over the country. When he wasn't on the road, he loved to be home. He found peace and joy woodworking in his shop, crafting with his hands, and fishing with his beloved wife. Marvin was also a wonderful cook who showed his love by feeding his family and bringing everyone together around the table. An animal lover, he had a special place in his heart for his pets. Marvin's spirit, strength, and love will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and great friends!

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Dr. Bud Gleaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Milner Baptist Church Cemetery, 107 Pecan Drive, Milner.
