Mildred Irene Childree Lackey

Mrs. Mildred Irene Childree Lackey, age 75 of Thomaston, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Lackey was born on June 20, 1949, in Upson County, Georgia to the late Thomas Garland Childree, and the late Myrtle Ilene Ellington Childree.  She retired from the Thomaston Mills and after that she went on to work at Walmart in the bakery, and she was of the Methodist Faith.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Alton Childree.  

Survivors include her longtime companion Anthony McAlum of Thomaston, daughter, Denna (Keith) Ochs of Macon, and grandchild Karsen Ochs (Zach) Hanna.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
