Ralph Shane McElreath

Mr. Ralph Shane McElreath, age 52, of Barnesville, passed away on October 3, 2025.

Son of the late Walter Malcom McElreath, Sr. and Nancy Lucille Cox McElreath, Shane was born and raised in Forsyth, Georgia and moved to Barnesville later in life. He spent most of his working life in the HVAC business,  but also worked in construction and farming. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, and crafting knives. Shane helped save multiple lives by being an organ donor.

In addition to his mother and father, Shane is preceded in death by his brothers, Walter Malcom McElreath, Jr., Anthony McElreath, and sister, Nancy Gregory McElreath.

He is survived by his children, Rena, Kayla, Moonshyne, Ralph Shane Jr., and Trinity McElreath; sister, Robin (Frank) Smith; partner, Sissy Phillips; several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
