Raymond Lewis "Scooter" Sewell, Il

Mr. Raymond Lewis "Scooter" Sewell, II, of Thomaston, died Sunday, November 10, 2024, at his residence. It was Mr. Sewell’s wish to be cremated, and no services are planned.

Mr. Sewell was born in San Diego, CA, on June 9, 1952, to Raymond Lewis "Ray" Sewell, I and Loretta May Monroe. Following his service in the US Navy, he was employed by B. F. Goodrich Martha Mills as a machinist and by Boeing Aircraft as an engineer. He later was a self-employed machinist. He had coached baseball at Weaver Park, had been a scout master for Troop 19 Boy Scouts of America, and was an avid pigeon racer.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sewell was preceded in death by a daughter, April Dawn Sewell, and a brother, Thomas Sewell. He is survived by three sons: Dustin William Sewell of Thomaston, Thomas Randall Sewell of Savannah, GA, and Tyler Bryant Sewell of Valdosta, GA; a brother, Wayne Watson of Palm Coast, FL; and four grandchildren: Dayton William Sewell, Dalton Thomas Sewell, Hayden Mason Sewell, and Lylah Dawn Sewell.
