Robert “Bob” Edward Stewart, Sr

Mr. Robert “Bob” Edward Stewart, Sr., age 72, of Thomaston, passed away July 30, 2025.  Bob grew up in Albany, son of the late E. L. Stewart, Jr. and the late Mildred Willis Stewart.  Bob was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. In 1982, he graduated from HVAC school and worked in the industry for 40 years before retiring as a Master HVAC Technician. Most of those years were spent at Albany Air Conditioning and Heating and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Bob was a faithful member of Northridge Church in Thomaston. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Leisa Greene Stewart; sons: Robert Edward Stewart, Jr., Jeb Allan Stewart, and Jason Michael Stewart (Kelly); grandchildren: Gage Ethridge Stewart and Addy McKenna Stewart; his sister: Vicki Lynn Harper (Charles); and his beloved chihuahua: Nurse Lilly.

A service celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, 12 p.m., at NorthRidge Church of Thomaston, 430 Hickory Ridge Road, Meansville.  Pastor Marc Pritchett will officiate. 

Friends may visit the family on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the church.
