Ronnie Wallace Morgan

Ronnie Wallace Morgan, 85 years old, of Milner, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Milner, GA. He passed away with his loving wife Janet by his side. He was born to James Wallace Morgan and Constance Golson Morgan on July 29, 1940. Raised in Milner, Ronnie

grew up with his extended family and was especially close to his cousins Wendell Morgan and Jimmy Morgan. Holding true to his Morgan name, his yearbook comments reflect he was quite a character growing up. Throughout his life he loved horses and prided himself on his horsemanship skills. Another Morgan trait that he proudly exemplified was his ability to “fix” things, even when everyone else was ready to throw up their hands and give up. With a pair of snips, some electrical tape and maybe some baling wire, there wasn’t anything that couldn’t be fixed “good enough” to get by.

Ronnie raised four children, and though he was a firm disciplinarian, they never doubted how much he loved them as evidenced by raising them in a Christian home and ensuring the family participated in every church activity. Ronnie took them on many camping adventures all over Texas. He taught them many critical and enjoyable life skills such as water skiing, driving a stick shift, riding motorcycles, and handling a chainsaw, maybe even at an age that would be frowned upon today.

Later in life, Ronnie met Janet Hunt and they were married on February 14, 1997. They enjoyed traveling with their camper and seeing America. They also did some horseback riding with the annual Morgan family outings, which Ronnie especially enjoyed. They enjoyed their pets, namely their Westie, Tally. Tally could often be found hanging out in the driver’s side truck window with Ronnie hanging on to her tail nub. Ronnie and Janet made a promise to take care of each other, and Janet faithfully stood by the commitment to the end.

Ronnie is survived by this his wife Janet Hunt Morgan; his four children Terri (Jesse) Salazar, Wayne (Becky) Morgan, Lee (Shannon) Morgan and Dean (Lisa) Morgan; grandchildren Chad McGill, Miranda Salazar, Jessica Garza, Ame Shows, Wallace Morgan, Abigail Morgan, Lily Morgan; several great grandchildren; and his sisters Pam (Faron) Wilson and Sandi (Todd) Clark.

The family would like to give special appreciation to Aleaha Whitus, Lauren Clowe, and Amy Morgan and to their families for the care and attention they gave to help support Janet and Ronnie over the last few years.

The immediate family will hold a private graveside service in the coming weeks and will be planning a celebration of life for extended family and friends.
