Roy Lee Bell

Mr. Roy Lee Bell, age 72, of Milner, passed away August 8, 2026, at his home. Roy grew up in Dahlonega, son of the late J. D. Bell and Betty Jo Parrott Bell. For most of his working life, he was an automobile mechanic. Roy also worked in sales at several automobile dealerships and for himself. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles with his boys and his sister, Jeannie. He also liked cutting grass, gardening and restoring old cars. Roy was dependable and always there whenever someone needed him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David “Hot Rod” Bell, his daughter, Allison Donley and his sister, Becky Eason.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years: Melinda Bell; children: Shannon Lee Bell, Colton Stewart (Britney), Wayne Donley (Kisha), Gina Donley and Austin Donley (Lexi); grandchildren: Brandon, Dakota, Emily, Ryan, Ashley, Matthew, Little Wayne, Faith; great-grandchildren: Everlyn, Isley, Anthony, Titus, Kopelyn, Cole, Ace, Brayden, Riley, Lee, Gabriella, Drue, Ayla, Mallory and Ellie; sisters: Jeannie Hill (David) and Melissa Bell; multiple nieces and nephews.

A family celebration of life for Roy will be held at a later date.
