Sherry Dawn Salter Green

Mrs. Sherry Dawn Salter Green, age 53 of Thomaston, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Green was born on August 4, 1972, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late James David Salter Sr. and the late Deborah Dover Hiers.  She worked as a paralegal and was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomaston.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Paul Hiers.  

Survivors include her husband Randy Green, daughter, Jennifer Sticca, MaCayla (Joshua) Towler, Jordan Veal, Kayleigh Hunnicutt, son, Trae Veal, brothers, James David (Tasha) Salter Jr. Joshua (Cassi) Hiers, sister, Melinda Ragan, grandchildren, Makenna Sticca, Karley Hardy Parker Hardy, Charlotte Bird, Matthew Bird, Hank Bird, Elijah Veal, Atley Hunnicutt, and Memphis Hunnicutt.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
