Sherry Denise Stewart Moore

Ms. Sherry Denise Stewart Moore, age 69, of Griffin, in Pike County, passed away February 25, 2025.  Sherry grew up in Griffin, daughter of the late Roy Steward and Christine Peek Steward. Sherry worked in the textile industry for many years. She enjoyed shopping, drinking margaritas, watching old game shows and police reality shows, and spending time with her grandkids.  She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Griffin.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Thomas, brother, Bobby Stewart and special friend, Sheila Bunn.

She is survived by her son: Justin Moore (Felicia); grandchildren: Christopher Johnson, Jade Moore and Noah Moore; brothers: Donald Stewart (Susan) and Larry Stewart; niece: April Carr (David); nephew: Brian Stewart (April); sister-in-law: Gail Stewart; many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. John Gray officiating.  

Friends may visit the family on Monday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
